PSN Restoration Begins Right Now!

It seems an eternity since we last heard news on the whole PSN debacle. PlayStation gamers everywhere will be pleased to hear that PlayStation is finally answering the weeks old question, "Can we haz PSN?"

Yes! Yes you can haz PSN! A few moments ago PlayStation Blog announced that updates and password changes have already been made available to everyone. On top of that, restoration of many vital PSN components are being implemented slowly over the next few hours. It seems that multiplayer functionality will be one of the features restored.

This updating process is not instant and instead will probably be finished at different times in different areas.

Please note that these services will take a bit of time to be turned on and rolled out to the whole country. The process has begun and some states are being turned on now, so please be patient as we reach your city and state. We’ll be updating the map below as service comes online in individual states. It will take several hours to restore PSN throughout the entire country, so please keep checking back for the latest updates. In the meantime, now’s a great time to get your PS3’s firmware updated and change your password, both of which are required to get online.
Go here to check out the updating map.
